March 8, 1559

The painting was done early today, I suppose Pandolf did not have many distractions today sense I put a servant in the room to make sure the painting is the only thing Pandolf is looking at. Her eyes are often wondering throughout the estate, and in the market, what shes looking at I cannot be certain. I wanted to have an evening with just the duchess and I so a dinner was served in my orchard. We dined on an array of fresh fruits imported from around the world; turkey was the main course, and tapioca for dessert. The wine we drank was the finest in the country side; even with this magnificent food she would thank the servants. I told her not to thank them and that she should be thanking me, I am the reason she has the food and the clothing on her back. At this I was outraged and began to Malt over the meal. At one point she offered them food because she felt we had more than enough. I had planned this evening for us. She must have been O'ertaken and that is why she behaved the way she did. I am often finding myself outraged at the smallest detail of my duchess. She is disobedient and enjoys to simple of things. This is no way for a duchess with my nine hundred year old name to be acting. The servant who was giving her the eye has been escorted of my property and working to a lesser of soul than I. The duchess was saddened by the news of the servant who she favored over the rest. Why a lady would fancy over a mere servant is unapparent to me. On a more important note, I have a merchant looking over seas for a rare statue I’ve been fending for it should be here in a matter of weeks.

  1. Duke, what about the painting? did it turn out to your liking? I am looking forward to viewing it the next time I visit your estate. I hope all is well with you.

  2. It is a likeness Ive never witnessed before. If she were to die I would still have her trapped on the wall and away from the wondering eyes in this dam forsaken country...but that is only if she were to die and I don't foresee that happening.
